at Antonio Maceo International Airport,
Santiago de Cuba. Transfer to either Hotel
San Juan or Las Américas.

2:
Breakfast.
Departure by bicycle to the village of El
Cobre at some 15 km from the city. Tour
of the village, visiting the Basílica
de la Virgen de la Caridad del Cobre, patroness
of Cuba. Return to the city. Visit to the
Castillo San Pedro de la Roca, Cultural
Heritage Site. Lunch at El Morro restaurant.
Afternoon city tour by coach, including
visits to the Rum House, Céspedes
Park, Enramada Street and other interesting
places. Return to the hotel. Dinner. Evening
free.
Day
3:
Breakfast.
Transfer by coach or by bicycle to the Sierra
de la Gran Piedra, a protected natural area.
Visit to the Mirador Natural, look-out point
situated at 1234 meters above sea level
on top of an enormous 75,000 ton weighing
rock. Check-in at Motel Gran
Piedra. Lunch. Afternoon tour of the Botanical
Garden and the remains of the Isabelica
French coffee plantation. Return to the
hotel. Dinner. Evening free.
Day
4:
Breakfast.
Departure by bicycle to the Baconao Park
Biosphere Reserve (26 km, with a difficult
descent from La Gran Piedra). Tour of the
Park. Visit to the Valle de la Prehistoria(with
a collection of life-sized stone reproductions
of animals from the Jurassic area). Lunch
at Costa Morena Hotel. Rest of the afternoon
free to enjoy nature, the beach or explore
the area. Return to Santiago de Cuba. Check
in San Juan o Las Américas. Dinner.
Evening free.
Day
5:
Breakfast.
Transfer by coach or by bicycle to the village
of Caimanera, situated at Guantánamo
Bay. Stop for a panoramic tour of the city
of Guantánamo. Arrival at Hotel Caimanera.
Check-in and lunch. Afternoon bicycle tour
of the village, including visits to the
19 de Noviembre Museum, the Art Gallery
and Frank País Salt Mine- the largest
in the country- where we will se the mining
process. From the hotel we will have a good
view of the US Naval Base located on Cuban
territory. This makes Caimanera a 'border
town'. Creole style dinner at Jiguana restaurant.
Day
6:
Breakfast.
A 33 km run by bicycle to Los Monitongos
Valley, a beautiful and exotic highland
area, unique for its odd-shaped gravel figures
and a typical flora and animal life. Return
to the hotel. Transfer to Baracoa, the first
first city the Spanish founded in Cuba,
following the coastal road skirting the
south coast of the province. Check-in at
either Hotel Porto Santo or El Castillo.
Dinner. Evening free.
Day
7:
Breakfast.
Bicycle tour of Baracoa, including visits
to the Matachín Museum, the cathedral,
home of the famous Cruz de Parra that historians
believe was brought to Cuba by Columbus,
and the banks of the Toa river, the most
watery of the country. Lunch. Transfer by
coach to Santiago de Cuba. Check-in at either
Hotel San Juan or Las Américas.
Dinner. Evening free.
Day
8:
Breakfast.
Transfer to Santiago airport and return
to country of origin.
